iCracked + Digital Trends crack open a new Samsung S8
Last week, we sat down with Digital Trends' mobile editor, Julian Chokkatu, to tear down the brand new Samsung S8 to see wha

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 first arrived on the scene on August 21, 2015, boasting new features and specs that put it leagues ahead of its predecessors, the Note 4 and Note 4 Edge. Borrowing features from the Galaxy S6, the Note 4 includes a new design with glass backing, an improved camera, and a fingerprint scanner.
The Note 5 features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution, allowing for true blacks and bright, vivid colors. It also utilizes a 3020 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities in addition to wireless charging, thanks to the phone’s new glass back. Building on the success of the Note 4 series’s S-Pen, the Note 5 comes loaded with brand-new features designed just for the stylus, as well as a spring-loaded mechanism to eject it.
Despite all the advancements in technology seen by the Galaxy Note 5, invincibility has yet to be perfected. Maybe yours took a turn for the worst, suffering a cracked screen, a busted charging port, or a headphone jack that just won’t do what it’s supposed to do.
No matter the issue, iCracked’s team of on-demand repair technicians will meet you whenever, wherever you are to fix it. Loud speaker doesn’t work? Have a broken mic? Let your iTech handle it at your local coffee shop, park, or even place of work. Click “repair my Galaxy Note 5” above to get started.

Cracked ScreenThat big, beautiful screen on your Note 5 will look just plain ugly with a shattered display. If your phablet took a tumble down the stairs or a dive onto some hard cement, let us know and we’ll take care of it. |
Charging PortHow are you supposed to take advantage of the Note 5’s fast charging without a working charging port? If yours isn’t working, make sure there isn’t any dirt or dust obstructing it. If that isn’t the problem, you might be in need of a repair. |
MicrophoneA phone’s no good if no one can hear you speak. Are callers having trouble hearing you speak clearly? You’re probably in desperate need of a mic repair. We can handle that. |
Headphone JackYou can’t very well listen to music with static and crackling noises over it, can you? If you’re hearing either of those things, you either have a dirty headphone jack or need the help of our iTechs. |
Home ButtonIs your home button not working or your fingerprint not scanning? That’s a big problem and might mean it’s time for a replacement. |
Ear SpeakerA broken ear speaker can be a very irritating problem, especially if it means you either can’t hear callers or instead hear tons of static or crackling noises. If this sounds familiar, quit worrying: We’ve got it covered. |
Side ButtonHaving trouble adjusting your Note 5’s volume? Check and see if dirt or stickiness is the culprit. If cleaning your phone doesn’t do the trick, let us know and we’ll take care of it for you. |
Front/Rear CameraAre your photos turning up blurry or your camera apps crashing upon opening? If it’s the former, try cleaning your camera lens. If that doesn’t work, or it’s the latter, you may be in need of a repair. |
Power ButtonIf your power button is stuck or refuses to work, it’s either dirty or due to a hardware problem. Try cleaning it, and if that doesn’t help, give us a heads up. We’ll send one of our iTechs to you to fix it. |
Loud SpeakerWatching videos without headphones on the Note 5’s huge display can be pretty seriously hindered by a busted loud speaker. No one wants to hear static over their favorite media. Contact us now and get it repaired. |
Tell us what happened to your phone. We can fix virtually all problems, and the work is backed by our lifetime warranty.
Have no fear: Help is on the way. A certified iTech will come to you to repair your Galaxy whenever and wherever you choose.
In about 30 minutes, your Galaxy is fixed and you’re back online. It’s almost too easy. #booyah
